My Personality

I'm an outgoing person who thrives in a team-oriented environment. I enjoy connecting with others, bringing new ideas to the table, and collaborating to bring creative ideas to life. My enthusiasm for group projects allows me to learn from others. With my strong mindset and work ethic, I'm willing to apply feedback immediately, which makes me a fast learner. I also take the initiative to develop new skills independently, which helps me stay adaptable and ready for new challenges.

My Story and Background

I was born in Baghdad, the capital city of Iraq. Throughout my childhood, I had the opportunity to travel often, which allowed me to explore different cultures and meet people from all kinds of backgrounds. With my family members, I traveled to Dubai, Germany, Paris, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Syria. Traveling to those countries gave me unforgettable memories and sparked my sense of adventure. Traveling opened my eyes to new perspectives and has shaped me into a curious, open-minded person who is always willing to learn something new. I came to Canada in 2012, and it's great to have classmates with different backgrounds and ethnicities.

Last year, I got to travel to Ad Week in New York City as part of the Bachelor of Digital Marketing Communications program. It was one of the best experiences of my life, as I got to learn from digital marketing professionals by asking them questions, connecting with them, and learning from their experiences throughout their careers. The reason why I majored in Digital Marketing is that I enjoy creating stories that people can connect to, and I have a very analytical mindset.

Throughout my basketball journey, I had to overcome a lot of challenges. Basketball has taught me to be disciplined and work hard while having fun at the same time. For example, I had to fix my jump shot by doing shooting drills so I could increase my shooting percentage in my basketball tournaments. One thing that helped me is that I analyzed an NBA player's shot, and that helped me optimize my jump shot; the results showed in my basketball games. I have applied the same things during my digital marketing career, and that has helped me create campaigns that are impactful and drive results.

I also have other hobbies such as reading books, playing video games, and hanging out with friends and family members. Last weekend, I watched The Sinners with my friends, and it was a great movie. I rated it a 7/10. Anyways, at the bottom is my basketball mixtape. Enjoy and take care!
